Established in 1983, in the midst of the quartz crisis, Chronoswiss has grown into an exclusive, high-end brand with a nonconformist approach and is anchored in both German and Swiss watchmaking history.
Entrepreneurial spirit and congenial inventions such as the sapphire glass back encasing the movement, an unmistakable design and the innovative interpretation of the regulator complication made Chronoswiss unique.
Today, the Lucerne-based company still is an independent, family-owned brand and creator of modern mechanical watches. It utilises a mix of the newest technologies and classic artisanal handcrafting such as handmade guilloché, skeletonising and enamelling to create timeless, yet distinctively contemporary horology with nonconformist designs.
Modern mechanical horology combines new technologies and classical handcrafting.
Chronoswiss is concentrating on its roots by reinventing its iconic Regulator to the modern standards of the 21st century. This model has been a strong part of the company’s heritage since 1988, when Chronoswiss was the first to take the concept of separated hour, minute and second indications into serial production in wristwatches.
Nowadays, most of the regulator timepieces in the collection are constructed with three-dimensional hybrid dials that are also module boards with functional parts. Thus, the regulator mechanism is made visible and placed front and center.
