George Bamford has made his name as founder of Bamford Watch Department, a business concept that has become the global market leader in contemporary watch customisation, synonymous with uncompromising style and quality.
BWD’s mission statement is, “if you can imagine it, we can create it” and with his youthful approach to his subject, George is reinventing luxury; acknowledging tradition whilst looking towards tomorrow.
George creates one-off limited-edition timepieces with artists and entrepreneurs such as Fragment, Daniel Arsham, Wes Lang and Studio Jeremyville. His collaboration with Peanuts has resulted in some iconic Snoopy watches, such as the Tennis Snoopy GMT, designed with King Nerd and released this year.
Making history by signing official customisation agreements with major Swiss watch brands including Franck Muller, Tag Heuer, Zenith, Chopard and Girard-Perregaux, and household names such as G-Shock and Bremont, BWD is the first customisation house venturing into a new market with one-of-a-kind watches offered with the full support of the brand.
