Ornamental feather in Dior Watchmaking 2
Christian Dior kept celebrating life and joyful moments with an immense love for balls where the most beautiful woman, cover with silk, diamonds and feather could dance until dawn, their dresses swirling to the rhythm of music. This swirl inspired Dior Timepieces to create the Dior Grand Bal collection, where the oscillating weight reproduces the movement of a dress during a dance. Combining Swiss excellence to Parisian creativity, Dior Timepieces proudly presented the Grand Bal feather where Dior artisan watchmakers carefully fixed tiny pieces of hand-cut feathers to its movements.
In this session, we invite you into to discover the feather marquetery technic to use it to decorate a drawing of Christian Dior historical dress.
